He is haunted by his past and burdened by his future. A gambler at heart, he plays Russian Roulette and lets God and chance decide his fate. Grandpa (Herb Smithline) tells Young Anthony a burlesque story from his childhood which involves a neighborhood pal, Johnny Taylor (Doug Archer) and two twin girls (Mariah and Yakira Nichols). Anthony Eikner preps Carol DiMarsico for a scene in which she plays the heroin addicted sister, Ruth. Gus (Richard Redmond) enters his daughter Ruth's bedroom to find her strung out on heroin. Anthony (Anthony Eikner) threatens his father Gus (Richard Redmond) to leave his sister Ruth (Carol DiMarsico) alone. Richard busts out laughing during one of the multiple takes and pick up shots that this scene required. Anthony tries to console Ruth. We see a flashback of Gus entering his daughter's bedroom with dark intentions. Anthony's wife, Jenny (Danielle Russo), has Anthony (Anthony Eikner) by the crotch while Director, Glen Baisley, filmed the whole gut wrenching scene. Ouch! He imagines that his Mistress (Erica Gregory) is speaking to him while this is happening. Gus (Richard Redmond) tries to antagonize Jenny (Danielle Russo) while she is setting the table for dinner. Gus (Richard Redmond) fights with wife, Rose (Vicky Cooper). We see Gus grieving for his wife. Seven month pregnant, Danielle Russo relaxes during a break between scenes. The July 11, 2001 edition of the Southern Dutchess News featuring Writer/Director Glen Baisley and actors Anthony Eikner and Richard Redmond.
