        Developing an interest in horror at a very young age, Gene would patch together Halloween costumes for himself and his friends.  As he and his dementia grew, horror writing and makeup became the principal interests in his life. 

       In 1994 and 1995, he did costume/prop work for the Nightwalks Haunted Trail at the Greenburgh Nature Center.  Always the prankster, Gene staged a series of gore gags throughout high school just to mortify teachers.  He also made props for the as-yet unreleased Alan Tacle film, The Waiting.  In addition, Gene has provided dozens of collectors with replicas of the masks worn by some of horror's more prominent villains - Todd "Jason X" Farmer, Greg "KNB FX" Nicotero and Mark "Freddy Vs. Jason" Swift are among those who own some of Gene's work.
